Sirmione does really not need introductions: it is a small jewel suspended in the middle of the lower lake Garda. The town is bordered to the southeast by Peschiera del Garda and to the southwest with Desenzano del Garda. The section of the lake is bordered to the east by Lazise and Castelnuovo del Garda and to the north by Padenghe sul Garda.

The old town is at the northern end of a long, narrow peninsula, about four kilometres long and divides into two parts the shore of the Southern Lakeside resort, and also exists as an island, since it was isolated from the mainland by a navigable moat, which is passed through a single access road, a bridge. Still retains a medieval urban layout, with narrow and irregular streets. Since the 70s there have been (the first case that the hotel and the hotel Grifone Hope) architectural works to the external walls of buildings, which have returned their most ancient appearance, with bricks and stones. Being a limited traffic area, you could say that is a paradise for pedestrians.
